The compilations, they BURN.

Yesterday, the tv barfed up another of those compilation cd commercials, this one for something called Buzz Cuts. (Or should that be ‘BUZZ CUTS‘?) From this name, I had zero idea what would be on it. Sure, I had some guesses, the ‘best’ of which was electric razors chorusing out military tunes, much like the dogs barking their Jingle Bells.

Songza: Neat Little Internet Jukebox

songza_logo Ever tried listening to a particular song on the Internet?  Internet radio  services like Pandora are great, but they don’t let you listen to the songs you want.

I used to go to YouTube and search for the song only to find out the video was taken down.  That gets annoying and old real quickly.

Radiohead Lets Fans Create Music Videos

The same day Nine Inch Nails announced the creation of a YouTube channel to let fans create visuals for any song in the “Ghosts” album, Radiohead announced a similar project.

NIN Music Experiment Continues to Video

With the success of Ghosts, NIN’s all instrumental 4-cd album, Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails is continuing the experiment to video. A YouTube channel has been created where anyone can create visuals accompanying any album track. Essentially, fans are free to create a music video and post it on YouTube. After a few months, the best ones will highlighted by Reznor himself.
